Coach House, Newland - Located in the historic and tranquil village of Newland
The Coach House, Newland

The historic and tranquil village of Newland is in the south west corner of the ancient Royal Forest of Dean,
a National Forest Park since 1938, and lies between
the valleys of the two great tidal rivers, the Severn and the Wye.

The Forest is one of the few remaining Royal Forests and the relative isolation of this area has lead to a unique pattern of land use, culture and heritage.

The Coach House is in Newland, a village developed around the magnificent parish church dating from 1216 and affectionately known as the "Cathedral of the Forest".

The Ostrich Inn is nearby and interesting towns a short distance away include Monmouth, Ross and Chepstow.

Sections of Offas Dyke, Gloucestershire Way and Wye Valley footpaths are all great opportunities for walking.  The New Verderers Trail along with the the more gentle Family Cycle Trail offer excellent cycling opportunities.  Or for a more laid back approach, The Coach House offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation.
